Hiring a professional beta reader is investing into your own writing, and taking a step forward in your story, whether you seek to publish traditionally, to self-publishing or simply if you want peace of mind through the feedback of an attentive beta reader.
What can I expect from hiring you? You will receive an annotated copy of your manuscript, as well as a reader report spanning several pages covering areas like my overall impression of your work, a critical overview of your manuscript’s strengths and what can be improved upon as well as suggestions as to how, a critical look at characters, world-building, plot, writing style, inconsistencies flagging, and, finally, my favourite lines. How much do you charge? I charge 10 CAD per 10,000 words as a starting rate for a beta reader report. Add-ons such as grammar and syntax review come at an extra 15$. For proofreading, I charge 5 CAD per 2,500 words.
